RISE ABOVE TRAVELING EXHIBIT
BY THE COMMEMORATIVE AIR FORCE
The Commemorative Air Force's RISE ABOVE Squadron is an educational outreach program that brings the history and legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen and Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) to life in communities and classrooms everywhere.
Traveling across the country each year, this program educates Americans everywhere what the Tuskegee Airmen and WASP had in common, and what made them succeed during the Second World War. The timeless lessons their experiences teach us about hard work, dedication, perseverance, and courage are just as applicable today as they were in the 1940s.
MOBILE MOVIE THEATER
The RISE ABOVE Squadron will have a fully functional mobile movie theater present on the air show grounds, featuring two compelling original short RISE ABOVE films that tell the story of the Tuskegee Airmen, the WASP, and the obstacles they both overcame to be able to serve their country during WWII.
This immersive experience is housed in a climate controlled 53’ semi-trailer with expandable sides and equipped with a ramp and hydraulic lift to ensure access to all, comfortably accommodating 30 visitors for each showing. Because of its dynamic 160-degree panoramic screen, the film creates the feeling of being in the cockpit soaring above the clouds.
Admission to the exhibit is always FREE to event attendees.
